A Mountain Home man, 20-year-old Ryan Joel Anderson, was arrested Thursday on a felony battery charge after a domestic disturbance at a residence on County Road 28. He is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Circuit Court in July.

According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, deputies responded to a domestic disturbance Thursday afternoon at approximately 2:20. A woman at the residence alleged her boyfriend, Anderson, had thrown a drink on her and then punched her in the nose.

When she attempted to use her phone to call for help, Anderson was said to have taken the phone away from her. The 20-year-old victim is reportedly pregnant and later went to the hospital to be treated for injuries, which resulted in the felony charge.
