Adam Glanzman/Getty Images(BOSTON) — Red Sox left-handed pitcher David Price had an MRI done on his pitching elbow Thursday and could miss his scheduled Friday start.
Price was on the shelf for the first two months of the season with a similar injury. The Boston Globe first reported that Price could miss Friday’s start.
Price is 5-3 with a 3.82 ERA in 11 starts since returning May 29 from the elbow issue that began during spring training.
Since returning from the disabled list, Price has been involved in recent controversy when he cursed at Hall of Fame pitcher and TV analyst Dennis Eckersley on the Red Sox team plane, according to a report published by The Boston Globe.
