
The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid to resurface 4.2 miles of County Roads 37 and 472 starting at State Highway 201 and continuing eastward.
According to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials, Twin Lakes Quarrys, Inc. of Mountain Home was awarded the contract at just over $427,000.
The Arkansas State Highway Commission has also approved a bid for improvements to roadways in Newton & Searcy Counties to resurface 12.8 miles of U.S. Highway 65 between Western Grove and St. Joe.
APAC-Central, INC. of Fayetteville was awarded the contract at $3,561,902.90.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in late 2017.
