A Mountain View man, 22-year-old Edward Condrey, is being held in the Stone County Detention Center following a domestic battery incident and shots being fired.
In a report released Tuesday, Stone County Sheriff Lance Bonds says deputies responded to a scene on Prince Loop in Stone County July 28 after receiving a report of shots being fired.
The complainant stated that Condrey and a second person had a conflict that led to the unidentified female being “black and blue.”
The complainant stated he had taken the victim away at her request, after she alleged Condrey had been beating on her for a week.
The complainant stated that once he and the female were in the vehicle, Condrey kicked the side of his vehicle, and then he heard a gunshot. As he continued to drive away, a second shot struck in front of the vehicle.
Officers located Condrey hiding underneath a residence on Prince Loop. While unarmed, an investigator located the weapon believed to be used inside a shed in close proximity to Condrey’s location.
Condrey has been charged with terroristic act and aggravated assault, both felony offenses, and two misdemeanors. His bond has been set at $100,000.
