
A one vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon in Douglas County, on Missouri Route N, 15 miles south of Ava, has injured two Brixey residents. According to a report from Missouri State Highway Patrol, the driver, 32-year-old Rebecca Brandon, was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield in serious condition. Her passenger, 42-year-old Frederick Buell, was also airlifted to Cox South in moderate condition.According to Missouri State Trooper Master Sergeant C.A. Hogue, Brandon was eastbound on Route N when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the 3:25 p.m. accident. The report says Buell was wearing a seatbelt.
A spokesperson from Cox South says Buell was treated and released. Brandon’s condition has been upgraded from serious to fair condition as of Wednesday.
