The Baxter County Sheriffs Office has announced the release of their new mobile app which is now available for download in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Sore. The app is free for users to download on both Android and IOS Mobile devices.Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says the new mobile app allows easy access to the most important features of their website including an improved access to the inmate roster. Simple navigation to the Most Wanted, Sex Offenders and Press Releases icons provide quick information. He says it’s also easier for users to anonymously submit crime tips, including photos to the Sheriffs Office.
The mobile app user can also select which push notifications they would like to subscribe to, including daily inmate roster notifications, most wanted, sex offenders and press releases. The user will be notified when events happen related to the Sheriffs Office and they believe it will serve as an additional information resource for the public and assist with community policing efforts.
Montgomery asserts the app will be an additional way to provide transparency for the Sheriffs Office and he encourages the public to take an active role in community policing efforts. He asks everyone to take advantage of the free app on their smartphone to benefit both the Sheriffs Office and the residents of Baxter and surrounding counties.
