Arkansas has been stolen.The Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that the cannonball stolen from Bentonville’s downtown square Monday night was a replacement for one that was stolen more than a decade ago.A Sheriff’s Department spokesman says the police department has received video from a surveillance camera that covers the area. County Judge Barry Moehring says the incident is “a law enforcement matter right now.”

City officials say they’ve fielded questions and comments about the statue since the deadly white supremacist rally last month in Charlottesville, Virginia.
According to county records, the statue was placed in the downtown square in 1908 under an agreement between the county and James H. Berry chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
