A Flippin man, 25-year-old Leigh Blackmon, arrested four times this year in Marion County, now faces felony theft of property charges in Baxter County in connection with a stolen vehicle.

According to the arrest affidavit, a pickup truck was reported missing from a residence in Midway on August 30. On Saturday, Marion County law enforcement advised officers with the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office the missing vehicle had been located off Fallen Ash Road in the Yellville area.

Officers from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office spoke to the property owner where the vehicle was located who directed them to talk with two other individuals residing at the same location. The two individuals told officers Blackmon had told them they could have the vehicle.

An inspection of the vehicle by a Baxter County Sheriff’s officer revealed the truck appeared to have suffered damage since taken from Midway. The owner confirmed damage to the undercarriage and other mechanical components.

According to the affidavit, Blackmon has been charged with felony counts of first degree criminal mischief and theft of property, with bond set at $3,500.

His latest brush with the law follows four incidents in Marion County since April. The Administrative Office of the Courts CourtConnect website indicates Blackmon has been charged with felony counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, theft of property, burglary, and breaking or entering in connection with the four incidents.

Blackmon is scheduled to appear in both Baxter and Marion County Circuit Courts.
