Arkansas State University-Mountain Home’s Pipeline to Advanced Manufacturing will hold a free week-long class for any adult looking for work or hoping to move from entry-level jobs to higher employment. The “Ready 2 Get Ahead” class is scheduled for Monday through next Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 each day.
Students must pre-register by Thursday. Classes will be held Monday, Tuesday and next Thursday at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church on Coley Drive, and the Wednesday and Friday classes will be on the ASU-Mountain Home campus. Coursework includes the Arkansas Career Readiness Certificate, Ready2Work, Cooking/Shopping Matters and Getting Ahead in a Just Gettin’ By World.
Students will earn a $125 stipend or gift card for attending on time each day and will hear from local employers and other guest speakers. Lunch and snacks will be provided each day.
