NATCO Communications, Inc. is hosting an event Friday from 11:00 until 2:00 in celebration of Gimme Fiber Day. The event will be held at the companys main office at 301 East Main Street in Flippin. The public is invited to attend the celebration.Gimme Fiber Day is celebrated globally each November to recognize the impact fiber optic technology has made in communities across the world.
In celebration of Gimme Fiber Day, the NATCO staff will be serving refreshments. In addition, there will be door prize drawings and test drives of fiber services, including 1Gig fiber internet and demos of NATCO TV. Visitors can also view the Creative Arts Showcase, featuring artwork and essays from area students.
Tim McEuen, Director of Customer Care, says fiber optic technology has changed the world, and it has changed the way NATCO delivers communications services to its customers. NATCO was the regions first communications company in Arkansas to deliver services using Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) technology and is working to expand FTTH throughout its service area.
