Fulton County Hospital Foundation to host Boots, Bands and BBQ

The Fulton County Hospital Foundation will host its first Boots, Bands and Barbecue fundraiser Saturday evening at the Salem Civic Center at the Fulton County Fairgrounds. Doors will open at 5:00. There will be a silent auction, door prizes, dancing and activities for children. Tickets are available at North Arkansas Electric Cooperative and Fulton County Hospital. Individual tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth ages 6 through 12 and free for children ages 5 and under.Recording artists Porter Union of Springfield, a new country duo, will take the stage at 6:00 followed by Chuck Young and Friends at 7:00.

Volunteers hope to raise at least $25,000 for the hospital’s radiology department to assist in meeting federal mandates and help improve care for the citizens of northcentral Arkansas and south Missouri.

Sponsorships ranging from $50 to $2,500 will help the foundation’s fundraising effort.

Ron Helm of Oxford, President of the Fulton County Hospital Foundation, says every even-numbered year the foundation hosts a gala to raise funds for the hospital. The Boots, Bands and Barbecue is a new addition to the annual golf tournament. Helm says the family-friendly event will have country music and barbecue sponsored by Everett Brothers, Inc.

Event attire is country-western and weekend casual.
