
Basketball and wrestling make up the local Thursday schedule.
Another season gets underway for the Mountain Home High School wrestling team. The Bombers will be in front of the home crowd for a tri-match with Berryville and Cedar Ridge.
Mountain Home is coming off a season in which they finished 15th in the Arkansas State Tournament for Classes 7A/6A, and they had the third best finish out of the Class 6A schools. Mountain Home’s top performer in the tournament was Seth Morgavan as he finished fourth in the 126-pound weight class, and he will return for his senior season with the Bombers.
Action at Bomber Gymnasium begins at 6 p.m.
In high school basketball, the Arvest Bank Tournament continues at Flippin. The semifinals will be in the new gym, and the consolation semifinals will be in the old gym. Games tip off at 4:00.
Elsewhere, Mountain View hosts Tuckerman, Marshall’s girls travel to Omaha, Rural Special entertains Bergman.
Mountain Home’s eighth grade boys will be in Branson for their final game of the Pirate Classic. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00.
