Brian Smith of Mountain Home changed his plea to guilty on drug-related charges and was sentenced to 15 years probation during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court last Thursday.

In addition, Smith will spend 90 days in a therapeutic treatment program at one of the Community Correction Centers in the state and will then enter the 14th Judicial District Drug Court Program.

The 44-year-old Smith was involved in several drug sales involving confidential informants.

The sales, which all took place in January, involved selling various amounts of methamphetamine, according to the probable cause affidavit filed in Smith’s case.

In March, a search warrant was served on Smith’s residence in which officers reported finding used syringes. One of the syringes was tested and revealed a positive indication for methamphetamine.
