A Marion County man, 23-year-old Levy Derrick McGee of Yellville, has been arrested after the vehicle he was a passenger in was stopped by Marion County Sheriff Clinton Evans and deputies from his office.

Sheriff Evans said in a release the vehicle was stopped just before 5:00 Monday evening at a Flippin business. McGee, with active warrants from Baxter County, was placed under arrest after it was discovered he had Suboxone strips in his possession. Upon further investigation, McGee allegedly admitted to having 43 of the strips with the intent of selling them. Suboxone is used in treating heroin and other opioid addictions.

McGee has been charged with possession of a Schedule III controlled substance with purpose to deliver, a felony offense.

At the time of Sheriff Evans’ release Tuesday, McGee was being held on a $25,000 bond in the Marion County Jail, awaiting his first court appearance.
