
Basketball makes up the local Thursday schedule as the Mountain Home High School teams begin tournament play.
The Bomber boys will be in Van Buren for the start of the Citizens Bank Tournament as they play the host school’s junior varsity squad. Mountain Home is currently 1-2 on the season. The Bombers’ last game was nine days ago when they went to Paragould and fell to Greene County Tech.

The Mountain Home girls will go back to Paragould as they face Marion in the Lady Eagle Invitational Tournament on the campus of Greene County Tech High School. The Lady Bombers bring a record of 1-2 into the tournament. Mountain Home lost to Tech back on November 21st.

Both of Lutie’s teams continue action in the Fordland Invitational Tournament. The Lady Indians meet Dora at 4:00, and the Lutie boys take on Fordland at 5:30.
The River Country Chevrolet Classic resumes at Thayer. Bakersfield’s j.v. boys go up against the host J.V. Bobcats at 4:00, and Dora’s varsity boys meet Willow Springs at 7:45.
Omaha will host the semifinals of the Anstaff Bank Border Classic. In girls’ action, Green Forest faces Berryville at 4:00, and the host Lady Eagles take on Dover at 7:00. On the boys’ side, Western Grove will be matched up with Kingston at 5:30, and Omaha plays Green Forest at 8:30.
In other high school basketball, Gainesville hosts Koshkonong, and Timbo travels to Pangburn.
On the junior varsity level, Bruno-Pyatt entertains Viola.
Mountain Home’s freshmen teams will be in front of the home crowd as they take on Springdale Southwest. The girls’ game tips off at 5:00 followed by the junior varsity and varsity boys’ contests.
The Norfork Junior Tournament will hold its’ championship games at the Bobby D. Hulse Gymnasium. Action gets underway at 6:00.
Elsewhere, Cotter makes the trip to Mammoth Spring, and Izard County heads to Lynn to meet Hillcrest.
