Two parolees and a probationer were arrested Friday on drug-related charges after the Mountain Home Police Department caught them with drugs and paraphernalia at a local hotel. According to Mountain Home Police Chief Carry Manuel, 28-year-old Coltan Dale Gates of Flippin, 20-year-old Austin Scott Denstedt and 30-year-old Ashley Leann Fischer, both of Mountain Home, are being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond.

According to the arrest affidavit, Gates is a parole absconder and MHPD received information he was staying at a hotel in Mountain Home. Officers with the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force knocked at the door. He eventually answered and was taken into custody. Denstedt, who is a probationer, and Fischer were also found in the room. Both have search waivers on file.

Officers conducted a search of the room and found numerous items of drug paraphernalia and several other items concealed in the bed. They found used syringes; loaded syringes; glass smoking pipes, with narcotic residue; used baggies; unused baggies; baggies with a crystalline substance and multiple sets of digital scales.

The crystalline substance field tested positive for methamphetamine and will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for verification.

All three face felony charges of possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia for the purpose of distribution, methamphetamine; and possession of drug paraphernalia for use of ingestion of methamphetamine.

Online records Monday did not indicate a scheduled appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court.
