New car wash among 13 new June building permits

A new car wash is among the 13 building permits issued by the City of Mountain Home during the month of June, according to Roberta Pack from the City of Mountain Home Building Inspection Department.

A new commercial permit was issued to 3D Construction for Carwash USA to be located at T-225 Walmart Drive at a construction cost of $700,000. The permit indicates the car wash will be a 4,400-square-foot heated facility.

A second commercial/greenhouse permit was issued to Chris Knight on behalf of Mountain Home Public Schools for a facility valued at $120,000. The permit indicates the greenhouse will be a 2,700-square-foot heated facility.

One new residential construction permit was issued to Crownover Construction Company at a cost of $356,458.

Three non-residential construction permits were issued in June to Gregory Company in behalf of Black Hills Energy for a commercial addition at a cost of $22,297 and two to Norman Paige. The first was for an office addition with a construction value of $29,000 and the second for a shop addition with a construction value of $11,000.

Other permits were issued to Judy Cunningham for a detached storage building with a construction cost of $1,600, Dale Lindsey for a storage shed with a construction value of $60,000 and Louis Sharp for a storage shed with a construction value of $1,000.

Three sign permits were issued in June. Two of the permits were issed to Oxford Signs for The Flooring Emporium, located at 406 Highway 62, with a construction value of $4,500 and to Mid Town Liquor located at 611 Highway 62 East, with a construction value of $4,965. The third sign permit was issued to Sign Tech for PH&L Insurance Specialist, located at 9221 Highway 62 West, with a construction cost of $1,200.

A 30-day sales permit for produce was issued to Glen Oxner to be located at 711 Highway 5 North at the Skipper’s Restaurant location, at a cost of $50.

Total construction value of the 13 permits issued in June was $1,312,020.

The cost of all permits issued for the month of June totaled $6,040.46, including the actual cost of building, electric, mechanical and plumbing permits, as well as 30-day permits and lot splits.

The city building and inspection department handled 90 inspections for the month.
