A Flippin man, 49-year-old Donnie Haynes, has been arrested and charged following an incident in which he allegedly pulled out his hunting knife and tried to slice the throat of a female victim.According to the probable cause affidavit filed Wednesday, a Flippin Police officer responded to a domestic incident on South Third Street on Dec. 13th. The victim told law enforcement she was in her bedroom when Haynes came in and started arguing with her about her cellphone. The woman said she got up to leave, but Haynes would not let her and pulled out the weapon. She said she began wrestling with Haynes, with him trying to leave the bedroom. She said while they were wrestling, Haynes cut her on the face. She then shoved him out of the way and ran to a relative’s apartment next door to call the police. The officer observed a long bloody cut on the woman’s left jawbone, and first responders were called. While the affidavit indicates the officer was unable to locate Haynes at the woman’s residence, it does not reflect the circumstances surrounding his arrest.

Haynes was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault.  His bond was set at $25,000.
