
Basketball makes up much of the local Thursday schedule.
Two local girls’ teams will continue action in the Thayer Winter Classic. Viola meets Willow Springs at 5:30, and Mammoth Spring faces the host Lady Bobcats at 7:15.
Mountain Home Christian Academy’s boys will play their second game in the Liberty Invitational Varsity Tournament at Mountain View, Missouri. The Eagles take on Thayer at 7:00.
In other high school action, Norfork travels to Brockwell to play Izard County, the Gainesville girls host Mansfield, Dora’s girls entertain Norwood, and Timbo is home against Concord.
Four of Mountain Home’s junior high teams will be in front of the home crowd as they meet Nettleton. The eighth grade girls’ game tips off at 4:30 followed by the eighth grade boys and both freshmen contests.
Elsewhere on the junior high schedule, Cotter makes the trip to Viola, Yellville-Summit heads to Green Forest, and Lead Hill travels to Jasper.
In other basketball, Flippin hosts Bruno-Pyatt for two seventh grade games followed by the junior girls and junior varsity boys.
