A Mountain Home woman entered a guilty plea to drug-related charges against her during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court last week and was put on probation for 48 months.

Twenty-seven-year-old Sarah Orms was arrested June 18th last year when law officers, including members of the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force, searched a unit in a Mountain Home apartment complex as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Orms was at the apartment when officers arrived.

The lawmen located drugs and drug paraphernalia in the apartment. Orms said she was visiting friends and had stayed the night of June 17th in the unit with those friends.

She admitted she had been around the drugs and drug paraphernalia found in the apartment.

Orms’ plea was taken under provisions of Act 346, commonly referred to as the first offenders law. The law allows a person who successfully completes probation to apply to the court to have his or her criminal record sealed.
