A crash Monday evening just before 6 sent the occupants of both vehicles to Baxter Regional Medical Center, with two juveniles transferred to a Springfield hospital.

According to a Baxter County Sheriff’s Office report, the collision occurred at the intersection of County Roads 7 and 720.

A truck driven by 40-year-old Jason Still of Yellville traveling north on County Road 720 struck the second vehicle driven by an unidentified juvenile as it crossed the intersection. The juvenile’s vehicle is owned by Shawn Benedict of Mountain Home. According to the report, the accident was caused when the juvenile driver disregarded a stop sign.

The impact caused the juvenile’s vehicle to spin out, strike a utility pole and travel into a fence line.

The report notes all vehicle occupants were transported to BRMC by ambulance, but says Still was not injured. A passenger in the Still vehicle, Joey Forbes, whose address and age were not listed, was transported to BRMC for treatment of an incapacitating injury.

The report indicates the juvenile driver and a juvenile passenger were also taken to BRMC for treatment of incapacitating injuries, before being transferred to an unidentified Springfield hospital.

The report notes damage to electrical lines and the cleanup required traffic control for an extended period of time. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
