The Friends of the Norfork National Fish Hatchery’s annual general membership meeting is scheduled for Friday evening at El Chico Cafe in Mountain Home. The evening will begin at 5 with a social hour, followed by the dinner at 6 and the general meeting at 7.
Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Chief Trout Biologist and Trout Program Director Christy Graham will be the featured speaker. Graham will discuss the current trout program and answer questions relating to Game and Fish’s future programs and possible future changes in Arkansas trout fishing laws.
The members will hold an election to include current board members whose service period will expire and must be renewed according to current by-laws. There will also be a brief review of upcoming events, including the kids’ fishing derby in June and the Hatchery Outdoor Adventure in September.
