The Mountain Home City Council will consider two items of new business and two items of old business when it meets in regular session Thursday evening at 6.

Under new business, the council is being asked to authorize the issuance and sale of over $8.1 million of water and sewer revenue improvement bonds. Funds from the sale of the bonds will be used to finance the upgrading and rehabilitation of the city’s wastewater treatment plant.

The council will also consider a request from Water and Wastewater Director Alma Clark for the addition of $7,200 in unrestricted funds.

Under old business, an ordinance will be presented waiving competitive bidding for the purchase of a telehandler or boom lift and the appropriation of funds for council travel and training.

The meeting will be held in the council chambers of the Municipal Building.
