To raise awareness in her school, Kaylee Ferguson and her mom, Cynthia, designed Type 1 Diabetes Cotter Warriors t-shirts. They sold these shirts to be worn at the first Type 1 Diabetes Awareness “Blue Out” Cotter Basketball game earlier this year. The event was created and organized by Kaylee Ferguson and a group of other Cotter students. They not only wanted to raise awareness, but they also wanted to help support the Reppell Diabetes Learning Center at Baxter Regional Medical Center. The Cotter student and her mother presented a donation from proceeds of the t-shirt sales of $768 to the RDLC.
