The defense rested mid afternoon Tuesday on day two of the trial of a man accused of a double homicide in Marion County. A circuit court jury of nine women and three men was seated Monday in the trial of 33-year-old Donald Steven Beckwith Jr. of Yellville.

Beckwith is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and enhancement charges of committing a felony with a firearm and a felony in the presence of a child. He is accused of shooting his uncle, 59-year-old David Dewayne White, and his grandfather, 89-year-old William Henry White, in front of his juvenile son. The incident allegedly occurred in early September in the front yard of his residence along Arkansas Highway 14 south of Yellville.
