A Fulton County man received moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Oregon County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 74-year-old Harold Pierce of Mammoth Spring was transported by ambulance to Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains following the accident in the Alton city limits.
Pierce was traveling southbound on Missouri Highway 19 when a northbound vehicle driven by 90-year-old John Barton of Alton pulled into his path at the junction with Missouri Route HH. Barton was also transported to Ozarks Medical Center with moderate injuries.
Both vehicles had extensive damage following the 12:04 p.m. accident.
