A Stone County Sheriff’s deputy is one of two individuals reported dead following an officer-involved shooting incident. According to the Arkansas State Police, the Thursday morning incident also resulted in injuries to another person.
The Stone County Office of Emergency Management posted on Twitter the incident occurred in the community of Flag in the southwestern portion of the county. The alleged shooting is reported to have occurred around 9:30 on Flag Road.
The State Police is on the scene investigating the incident.
ASP has scheduled a news conference for 2:30 Thursday afternoon outside the Stone County Courthouse.
