
Another benefit for a local backpack food program is coming up this weekend. The 10th annual We Can Make a Difference Benefit Ride is scheduled for Saturday morning starting and ending at the Home Depot by the Sheid-Hopper Bypass in Mountain Home.
Food Bank of North Central Arkansas Chief Executive Officer Jeff Quick was a recent guest of the Talk of the Town on KTLO-FM, and he says all proceeds benefit disadvantaged school children in the Mountain Home, Cotter and Norfork school districts.

The cost to participate is $10 per rider. The day begins at 8:30 with the sign-in period, and the ride will start at 10. The ride will go through Mountain Home and then travel to Calico Rock where there will be a free water stop courtesy of the Ozark Crew. The ride will turn and go to Pineville and head back to the Home Depot.
Pat McLean of Arkansas Bikers Aiming Towards Education (ABATE) was also on the Talk of the Town, and he says not only is the ride a worthy cause but also a good time.

In addition, free lunch will be provided by Arvest Bank, and the Moose Riders will have a bike show with trophies under the big tent provided by Wesley Proffitt of Affordable Insurance. There will also be door prizes and raffle items, and music will be provided by Tim Tibbs.
