Ladies and gentlemen, setting a new land-space record for merch: The Rolling Stones.
Fresh from receiving the news last Thursday that NASA has named a rock on the surface of Mars “Rolling Stones Rock” after the iconic band, Mick and company have printed up some limited-edition commemorative merch to capitalize on the honor.
Fans can choose from Stones t-shirts and hats with the band’s names spelled out in NASA’s distinctive font, or a lithograph featuring the band’s lips and tongue logo superimposed on the surface of the Red Planet.
The merch is available exclusively at the band’s official website, TheRollingStones.com.
As previously reported, the Stones got the news of their namesake Martian rock last week when they played the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA, which is right down the road from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab.
The band’s No Filter tour continues tonight in Glendale, AZ.
