Trisha Yearwood‘s first all-new country album in more than a decade comes out Friday. And nowhere on the planet will the Every Girl excitement be any greater than in her hometown of Monticello, Georgia.

“They have been supportive. You know… the town…is really…family…” Trisha tells ABC Radio. “I’ve already seen some pictures where people are already painting ‘Welcome home, Trisha’ in the windows of the storefronts.”

“That’s the kind of town it is,” the two-time CMA Female Vocalist of the Year says. “They’ve got your back. And we thought for this album, because it is ‘Every Girl in This Town,’ that it’d be cool to take that route that I drove from Monticello to Nashville and stop along the way.”

Indeed, if you check out the front page of The Monticello News, the main photo is a picture of the Visitors’ Center window, decorated with an elaborate “Every Girl in This Town Loves Trisha Yearwood” mural.

When it comes time for her album release party on the town square Friday evening, Trisha’s prepared to stick around awhile.

“I still know everybody in my hometown, and I keep up with them,” she explains. “And my parents are gone, but my sister and I still feel that’s home for us. My sister is gonna be there, too.”

“The last time we were there was when the last cookbook came out, and we visited and signed books and took pictures for about nine hours,” she laughs. “So, I said ‘Don’t plan anything for Friday except that, and we’ll see how late we go.'”

Trisha’s #EveryGirlRoadTrip will make two more Georgia stops on Saturday, and hit Chattanooga Sunday morning. She’ll wrap Sunday afternoon at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville.
