A Mountain Home woman is accused of hitting a man and cutting him with a kitchen knife. Forty-seven-year-old Lorie Osborn is in the Baxter County Detention Center on felony counts of second-degree domestic battery and probation violation.

According to the probable cause affidavit, a Mountain Home officer responded Sept. 13 to a residence on East 10th Street in reference to a female needing psychological evaluation. The officer met with a female, identified as Osborn, and three males, and she was reportedly frantic and upset. She stated one of the males had a girlfriend he gave all of her clothes and jewelry to. She also accused the male of beating her up for several days. The officer says Osborn had several bruises on her head, arms and legs, but none of the bruises appeared to have occurred that day.

The officer later spoke to the male Osborn accused of hitting her. The male stated he didn’t want to press charges, but Osborn had been hitting him all day, and that claim was backed up by the other two males. Osborn allegedly grabbed the kitchen knife around 3 p.m. and cut the first male twice in the stomach area and twice on the arm. She reportedly yelled she was going to kill him. Another male gave the knife allegedly used during the incident to the officer.

Osborn’s bond is set at $10,000, and she made her initial appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
