A local Arkansas Game and Fish Commission officer was among several recognized Tuesday by Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge. Corporal Doug Small was named the Baxter County Law Enforcement Officer of the Year during the Arkansas Law Enforcement Summit.
Recipients were selected based on recommendations for their dedicated service to Arkansans and can hold law enforcement positions at a college or university, municipal, county, federal or state level. Rutledge received nominations from police chiefs, county sheriffs, county judges, mayors, prosecutors and other law enforcement leaders across Arkansas.
The summit was held at the Benton Event Center.
