Mountain Home schools celebrating MHHS grads now working for the district

It’s homecoming week in Mountain Home schools. The school system has 42 employees who graduated from Mountain Home. Here are short bios of each of them:

Bomber Alumni Bio’s

Central Office:

 

Ron Czanstkowski is a 1985 graduate of MHHS.  He is in his 29th year working in the MH School District where he has served as a math teacher, Head Baseball Coach, Asst. Football Coach, Asst. Principal, and Principal.  He currently serves as the Student Services Director for the MH School District.  He has been married to Alecia for 27 years, and their two children are Kaitlin (MHHS 2012) and Ryan (MHHS 2016).  His favorite memories are playing in the Baseball State Championship in 1985 and playing on the undefeated regular-season football team in 1983.

Patricia Kasinger began school here in 1969. She was born in Mountain Home as was her dad and his dad before him; something she is very proud of today.  Back then Nelson Wilks held six grades (1st-6th) and Mrs. Herron was the principal. According to Trish, it was a wonderful time to be a child and grow up in a small town.  Her first grade teacher was Mrs. Parnell, who taught them most everything, including numbers and   letters, because growing up in the country Trish did not have the opportunity to attend Kindergarten.  Her 7th grade teacher was Mrs. Hackler, and according to Trish, she is as terrific now as she was back then.  She will never forget how to find a prepositional phrase in a sentence, thanks to Mrs. Hackler.  Trish graduated in 1981 and is happily married to Mike Turner, also a 1981 MH graduate.  Trish has always called Mountain Home home and is very proud to now be employed at her Alma Mater.

MHK:

 

Kim Crecelius is a 1990 graduate of MHHS, and she is currently in her 22nd year of teaching Kindergarten at MHK. She is married to Brian, and they have two children, Bayler and Rylee. Bayler is in his first year of college and Rylee attends Pinkston Middle School.  Kim’s favorite memory from high school is hanging out with friends in the courtyard.

Dana Rowe-Rowlett is a 1981 graduate of MHHS, and she is currently teaching at Mountain Home Kindergarten. She is married to George, and they have 3 children, Mollie, Sam, and Meredith who are alumni of MHHS. Dana and her husband have three grandchildren, as well. Dana’s favorite memory of high school is when she “tried” to skip first hour to get donuts and was met by Sheridan Kirksey, the principal ,in the parking lot and asked what she thought she was doing skipping class to go get donuts? Mr. Kirksey, told her he wouldn’t call her parents if she promised never to skip class, again.

 

NWH:

 

Zach Ables is a 2008 graduate of MHHS and works as a school resource officer at NWH. He is married to Jessica, and has one daughter named Reagan. His fondest memories of high school are the awesome Mrs. Wegerer and showing Bomber pride in the student section.

  

Rhonda Allen is a 1999 graduate of MHHS and currently teaches ALE at NWH. She is an avid Arkansas Razorbacks fan and enjoys spending time with her friends and family.  Her fondest moments of HS are her trip to Germany with Team GAPP 13 with Frau Nancy Reed, and playing tenor saxophone in the MHHS band directed by Mr. Robert Nelson.

 

Laura Beth Baker is a 2000 graduate of MHHS and currently teaches 1st grade at NWH.  She is married to Josh, and they have 3 children: Hadleigh, Hannah, & Harrison, who are current MHPS students.  Her fondest memory of HS is homecoming float construction nights and cheering at pre-game bonfires.

Sarah Beatty is a 2000 graduate of MHHS and currently teaches 2nd grade at NWH.  Sarah is the mom of 12-year-old twin boys currently attending Pinkston Middle School.

Megan Cantrell is a 2013 graduate of MHHS and currently teaches 1st grade at NWH. She is engaged to Andrew Edwards, and has three perfect fur babies who love to go to the lake and go on walks. Her fondest memory of HS is playing for the Lady Bomber teams and serving on the HHS representative board to share with other schools how MHHS effectively met the needs of all students through learning academies.

Melissa Langston Corp is a 2000 graduate of MHHS and currently teaches 2nd grade at NWH. She is married to Tim, and they have two boys; Jackson and Kolton who are also Mountain Home Bombers.  Her fondest memories of HS are participating in GAPP XIV with Frau Reed and playing basketball for the Lady Bombers.

Miranda Cotter is a 2011 graduate of MHHS and currently teaches 1st grade at Nelson Wilks Herron. She is married to Dean Cotter and together that have 4 children: Destiny, Delila, Edin, Estelle, and another baby girl on the way! Her fondest memories of HS are visiting Germany with the GAP program and being a part of Seussical the Musical with Drama.

Laurie Russell Cramton  is a 1985 graduate of MHHS, and works as the principal of Nelson Wilks Herron. Her favorite high school memory is cheering on the 1983-84 Bomber football team to an undefeated regular season. She is proud to be a Bomber!

Alyssa Edwards is a 2008 graduate of MHHS and currently teaches 2nd grade at NWH.  She is married to Jayson, and they have 2 children, Nikole and Sydnie.  Her fondest memories of HS are going to prom with Jayson and cheering in the state championship football game at War Memorial Stadium in the fall of 2006.

Morgan Hardin is a 2000 graduate of MHHS and works at NWH. She is married to Shawn, who is also a graduate of MHHS.  Her most fond moment of HS is getting to play on LadyBack field for the All Star game after earning All Conference and All State Honors in Softball.

Clint Pevril is a 1985 graduate of MHHS, and he currently works for Nelson Wilks Herron as an art teacher and coaches cross country and track.  He is married to Judy, and they have 2 children, Daniel and Ryan, who are also MHHS Alumni.  His most fond moment of HS is Chemistry & Physics in Mr. Smith’s class, studying with Craig Mabry while listening to Rush, and the Slinky incident with Alphabet.

Isabella Phares is a 2011 graduate of MHHS and works as a paraprofessional at NWH.  She is married to Kody Phares, who is also an alumni. Her most fond memory of high school was being treated like family by all of her teachers.

Aubrey Pitts is a 2007 graduate of MHHS and currently teaches special education at NWH. She is happily married to Tyler Pitts, and is mother to two year old, Tate, and stepmother to Tucker and Molly. Her most fond memory of high school is being in all of Mrs. Delta Johnson’s classes. Mrs. Johnson was an amazing teacher and is the reason Aubrey is a teacher today. Not only was she a teacher, but she was always there to listen and talk and that meant the world to her!

 

Tiffany Stone is a 1999 graduate from MHHS and currently works as a first grade teacher at NWH . She is married to Rusty Stone who is also a MHHS alumni, and they have 1 child, Harper Sue.

Anna Tyler is a 2012 graduate of MHHS and works as a paraprofessional at NWH. She is married to Brett, who is also an MHHS Alumni.  They have two sons, Leon (4) and Henry (4 months). Her fondest memory of high school was finding out she would be the Editor-in-Chief of the school newspaper, Contrails, during her senior year.

April Welch is a 2002 graduate of MHHS and works as a secretary at NWH.  She is married to Cory Welch, also an Alumni of MHPS, and they have 2 boys, Gavin and Weston. Her fondest moment of HS is Mr. Steele always trying to scare her when she walked into the Agri building.

Hackler:

 

Sharon Belk is a 1988 graduate of MHHS and is in her 26th year of teaching. She currently teaches math, science, and social studies at Hackler Intermediate. She has two kiddos at home, along with one hardworking husband and two chubby pups. Go Bombers!!

 

Kim Booy is a 1983 graduate of MHHS and currently works as a paraprofessional at Hackler Intermediate. She has a wonderful family; daughter Courteney  and her husband Andrew and grandchild Wyatt, son Landon his wife Kayla and grandchildren Teagan, Bhretton, Fynleigh and Addison. Also, daughter Whitney and husband Alex. Her hobbies are reading, baking,  and spending time with her family. She is thankful for MHPS and so Proud to be a Bomber!

 

Allyson Dewey is a class of 1995 graduate and a 3rd generation Bomber. She has worked for 19 years in the Mountain Home district, and is currently the principal at Hackler Intermediate. She is married to 1992 MH graduate, Chad Dewey. They have 3 daughters all part of the MH district including 2018 graduate Leah, Lauren a high school junior, and Libby a  6th grader. Congratulations MH on 110 years! Go Bombers!

 

Michelle Griffin is a 2001 graduate of MHHS and is in her second year of teaching third grade at Hackler Intermediate. She grew up in Mtn. Home and was a Bomber K-12th grade.  She has a wonderful husband, Alan, and two children that also attend school in Mtn. Home.  Her daughter Shelby is a senior this year and her son Nathan is a Freshman. She is wishing everyone a happy Homecoming Week.

Stephonie Ifland is a 2008 MHHS graduate and currently teaches at Hackler Intermediate. When she is not at school, she loves spending time with her family.

Samantha Ingle is a 2011 graduate of MHHS and currently teaches 3rd grade at Hackler Intermediate. She and her husband, Madison, who is also a teacher in MH, have 3 beautiful girls Emily, Macie, and Piper! She absolutely loves teaching! Go Bombers!

Emily Jordan is a 2007 graduate of MHHS and currently teaches fourth grade at Hackler Intermediate. She has a beautiful four year old daughter named Naomi who attends the Flight Academy at the kindergarten! There is nowhere she would rather spend her days teaching – She loves Hackler, this community, and being a Bomber!

 

Judy Lawrence is a  1992 graduate of MHHS and currently works as a TOSA (Teacher On Special Assignment) for grades 4-6. She is married to George Lawrence, a family practice physician at Regional Family Medicine.  Together they have three incredible kids:  Anna Claire, Whit and Ty.  Her hobbies include interior design and reading, and her family loves to spend time on the lake.

Lindsay Newton is a 2001 MHHS graduate and currently teaches 3rd-grade Literacy & Social Studies at Hackler Intermediate School. She has been teaching for 15 years, and she and her husband, Lance,  have two boys who keep them busy!

 

Tamara Pickett  is a graduate of Mountain Home and is in her sixth year of teaching at Hackler Intermediate. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys spending time with family, shopping, or watching Hallmark movies!

 

Melissa Steiner graduated from MHHS in 1988. This is her 27th year in the district, and she has taught 2nd and 3rd grade and has been a Library Media Specialist for 18 years. This summer she started a new YouTube channel called Mrs. Steiner Reads, where she is sharing stories with students all over the world. Her favorite memories of attending Mountain Home Public Schools would be playing saxophone and traveling in the award-winning Bomber Band to competitions. She considers herself blessed beyond measure to now work along-side her former band director, Robert Nelson and many other alumni as the Co-Chairperson of the Bomber Alumni House Committee. Melissa spends time attending many school activities and functions and is forever Proud to be a Bomber!

 

Pinkston:

Lindsey Barnes Blevins graduated from MHHS in 1979. She has taught in the district thirteen years, been an assistant principal at MHHS for five years, and is currently in her second year as the principal at Pinkston Middle School. Lindsey is married to Wayne Blevins (a MHHS graduate) and they have two daughters, Hannah and Sydney who are both MHHS graduates as well. Lindsey’s favorite memory is her participation in the MH Band program from junior high through high school. There were so many band competitions, trips, and memories made with Mr. Robert Nelson and Mr. Bill Maxwell that she couldn’t pick a favorite!

Lara Case is a 1987 graduate from MHHS and currently works at Pinkston Middle School. She is married to Mark Case and they have 3 sons, David a 2007 MHHS graduate who holds a Masters degree in Cyber security as well as being a USAF veteran, Michael a 2016 MHHS graduate who is looking to enter the Navy, and Jacob a 2017 MHHS graduate who is working towards his nursing degree as well as joining the Air Force this fall. Lara’s favorite memory at MHHS was when the hallways would flood and students would remove shoes, socks, and roll up their pants to get to lockers! We also had great pep rallies in the courtyard! The 80’s were a great decade to be in High School.

Katie Criner is a 1997 graduate of MHHS and currently works as a secretary at Pinkston Middle School..  Katie is married to Nathan Criner, who is a teacher and coach at MHHS.  They have two boys, James 9th grade and Jackson 7th grade who play Bomber football, basketball and soccer.  Katie’s favorite memory at MHHS was during her senior year when  the Bomber plane was delivered by helicopters.

Chrissy Villiger Davis is a 1999 graduate of MHHS and currently teaches math and robotics at Pinkston Middle School. Chrissy is married to Greg Davis, who also graduated from MHHS in 1996.  They have three children, Eric 11th grade, Kate 10th grade and Loren in 6th grade. They are all heavily involved in FIRST Robotics.  Chrissy’s favorite memory at MHHS was marching season with the MHHS band.

 

Ellen Hutchison is a 1986 MHHS graduate. She joined the district in her current position of School Nurse at PInkston Middle School in 2018. Nurse Ellen enjoys family time with her husband, Lynn, sons – Jake, Jesse, and Jayden and granddaughter Charlotte. Her favorite memory of HS was ordering class rings with friends.

Kimberly Solomon graduated from MHHS in 2014; her father Herbert Berke, mother Tammy Berke, and brother Daniel Berke are also graduates of MHHS from the years 1964, 1975, and 2005. She enjoys her new job as the 6th/7th grade science teacher at Pinkston Middle School. Kim is newly married to Zachary Solomon. Kim’s favorite MHHS memory was winning the 6a state soccer championship with the Lady Bomber Soccer team. Go Bombers!

MHJH:

 

Melody Layton Adamson is a 1993 graduate of MHHS and currently teaches at Mountain Home Junior High High. She joined the Mountain Home faculty in 2000, and has taught several different grade levels and several different subjects since that time. She loves being a BOMBER!

 

 

Lacy Holland is a 2005 graduate of MHHS and currently works as a School Resource Officer at the Mountain Home Junior High School. She is a mother to 3 amazing daughters (Gracie, Madison, Mika) and a wife to a wonderful man named Mike! She enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the Ozarks in their Jeep, vacationing at the beach, decorating, and all things football…especially the Oklahoma Sooners!

Brad Morris is a 1985 Graduate of Mountain Home High School.  He was a member of the Bomber Baseball and Basketball Teams from 1982 to 1985.   Brad attended college on a baseball scholarship and graduated in 1989 from Northwest Missouri State in Merryville, MO.  Brad was extremely fortunate to be given the opportunity to return to his Alma Mater, where has continued his journey as a proud Bomber, serving as a teacher and coach for the past 26 years.  Brad is married to Kelly, and they have two children: Austin and Kiley. He enjoys golf, fishing the White River, and attending any/all Bomber athletic events.

 

Phillip Taylor is a 1991 graduate of MHHS and currently teaches and coaches at Mountain Home Junior High. He is married to Bomber alumnus Shannon Bradley, and together that have 3 children – Mallorie, Bradley, and Kelly. His favorite memory from high school was making it to the state baseball championship game his senior year.

 

Susie Teague is a 1978 graduate of Mountain Home High School and currently works as a paraprofessional at Mountain Home Junior High School. She is married to Dee Teague who is also a 1974 Mountain Home High School alumni, and together have 3 grown children who are all Mountain Home alumni and 3 grandchildren, two who presently attend Mountain Home Public Schools.  Her fondest memory of high school was being a member of the first Bomber Dance/Drill Team, the Blue Belles.  The name Blue Belles was given to the team by University of Texas dance team members when they were at summer camp.  They later changed the name to Bomberettes and now they are known as the Bomber Belles.
