Apple Corps Ltd./Capitol/UMeA limited-edition Beatles box set containing 180-gram-vinyl versions of the 22 singles that the band released in the U.K. from 1962 to 1970, as well as a newly created disc featuring the group’s mid-’90s singles “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love,” will be released on November 22.

The Singles Collection boasts a total of 46 tracks that have been newly cut for vinyl using the original mono and stereo master tapes at Abbey Road Studios in London. Each of the seven-inch discs is housed in its own picture sleeve, the designs of which replicate ones that appeared for the first-issue releases of the singles in various countries around the world. The countries represented are Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Denmark, France, Greece, Holland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the U.K., the U.S. and West Germany.

The box set comes packaged with a 40-page booklet containing photos, memorabilia, and essays penned by Beatles historian Kevin Howlett.

The U.K. singles featured in The Singles Collection span from 1962’s “Love Me Do” backed with “P. S. I Love You,” to 1970’s “Let It Be,” backed with “You Know My Name (Look Up the Number).” Impressively, 17 of the 22 singles hit #1 in the U.K.

“Free as a Bird” and “Real Love” were created using demo tapes recorded by the late John Lennon, with the three surviving Beatles adding their parts in the 1990s. The songs were originally released, respectively, in 1995 and 1996 on the Anthology 1 and Anthology 2 compilations.
