Law enforcement in Izard County is looking for a suspect in connection with a shooting incident Thursday afternoon that sent one person to the hospital. According to a Facebook post by the Izard County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened in the Sage community shortly after 5. A male, whose identity has not been released, was reportedly shot and taken to the hospital with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
The sheriff’s office is looking for 19-year-old Jonathan Torres of Melbourne in connection with the incident. KAIT reports Torres is five foot four inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He was last seen in a red Chevrolet pick up, possibly a four-door.
