Some damage but no injuries from early morning storms

Some damage but no injuries are being reported, after a line of severe thunderstorms moved through the area early Monday morning. Most of the severe weather was in southern Missouri, where multiple tornado warnings were issued.

According to information reported to the National Weather Service in Springfield, trees were reportedly blown down across Ozark, Douglas and Howell counties.

About 4 miles north, northwest of Sycamore in Ozark County, a tree fell on a house and at least seven other trees were downed on the property.

Also in Ozark County, trees and power lines were blown down near Roy’s store in Dora and a tree fell on a house 2 miles west of Dora. Highway CC in the area is also blocked

In Douglas County, several homes were damaged along Route EE, trees were blown down along Highway 95 in the Vanzant area and a roof was blown off a barn about 5 miles northeast of Vanzant.

Several severe thunderstorm warnings were issued in northern Arkansas, but they were cancelled before they expired as the storms weakened.
