The Mountain Home Junior High football team wrapped up its season Thursday night with a 22-14 loss at Dardanelle. The Junior Sand Lizards intercepted a pass in the endzone with less than one minute to play to get the win. The Junior Bombers had driven from their own 37-yard line to the Dardanelle 10 before the game ending turnover.
Colby Lockhart scored a touchdown for Mountain Home and Masen Walker had 49 rushing yards for the Junior Bombers who end the season with a record of 2-5.
In the eighth grade game, Mountain Home defeated Dardanelle 30-14. William Cottongim scored a pair of touchdowns and added two two-point conversions, Landon White scored two touchdowns and Cade Yates completed a two-point conversion pass to Brady Lance.
The eighth grade Bombers finish the year with a 4-3 record.
