Mountain Home Mayor Hillrey Adams says the Mountain Home square is thriving despite taking a significant blow last week with the loss of the historic building housing the Olde Tyme Restaurant.
In a visit with KTLO-FM host Bob Knight Wednesday, Mayor Adams says he hopes the fire won’t be a setback for the momentum to revitalize the area and points to development underway at what has been a sleepy corner just off the square.

Mayor Adams says those working to bring activity and business to the square can’t afford a slowdown in the progress.
He says this year’s annual Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade is also being revamped in an effort to bring more people downtown.

The parade is set for Dec. 6, with the tree lighting at 5:30 p.m.
