A high-speed pursuit of a Stone County man wanted on failure to appear warrants resulted in a head-on collision in Izard County. Twenty-six-year-old Mason Patrick is in the Stone County Detention Center.
According to White River Now, Patrick and Tamara Guinn were wanted on the failure to appear warrants in Stone County. They are both facing felony fleeing charges after they managed to escape after a high-speed pursuit Nov. 2. Guinn and Patrick were passengers in a vehicle fleeing from Stone County deputies into Izard County, where the vehicle stopped at a residence. Patrick and Guinn were not located that day. The driver, 47-year-old Aaron Youmans, was arrested and is in the Stone County Detention Center for hindering apprehension, fleeing in a vehicle and reckless driving.
A pair of Stone County deputies located Patrick driving a vehicle in Stone County last Tuesday, leading to another high-speed pursuit going into Izard County. Patrick reportedly came upon another vehicle and attempted to swing out and drive around to pass. Patrick ended up hitting a third vehicle stopped just off the highway. Patrick and the two individuals in the vehicle he hit were all taken to Stone County Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Patrick was released from the hospital and transported to the Stone County Detention Center.
In addition to the failure to appear and fleeing charges, Patrick is also being detained for an outstanding warrant for another county.
