Money raised by the event will go toward funding the building of the charity’s new, state-of-the-art cancer treatment and research facility, the Oak Cancer Centre, which will be located in Sutton, U.K.

Brooker is serving as musical director of the concert, which will also feature a house band that includes Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice, Paul McCartney touring keyboardist Paul “Wix” Wickens, ex-Pretenders guitarist Robbie McIntosh, longtime Roger Waters drummer Graham Broad, and acclaimed guitarist Andy Fairweather Low, who has worked with Clapton, Waters and many others.

More artists will be added to the show’s lineup soon.

“This is a great cause and I’m honored to be part of the efforts to raise money for The Royal Marsden,” Clapton said in a statement. “I’ve known Gary Brooker for many years so to have the chance to be back working together, along with other great artists and band mates was one I couldn’t say no to. I am sure it’ll be a fantastic evening providing much needed support for this pioneering hospital.”
