The Izard County High School boys’ basketball team advanced to the consolation title game of the Beach Ball Classic at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Cougars defeated St. Thomas Catholic from Houston by a final of 70-52.
Coby Everett led Izard County with 24 points. Justus Cooper scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, Dylan Tharp had 15 points, and Caleb Faulkner added 12 points.
The Cougars improve to 18-4 on the season.
