Basketball makes up the local Monday schedule, as Mountain Home welcomes Douglas MacArthur from Jonesboro for four junior high games. The seventh grade girls’ game tips off at 4 p.m. followed by the eighth grade boys and both freshmen contests.
Also on the junior high level, Salem’s girls will be at Hillcrest Elementary School in Lynn for their first game in the Screamin’ Eagle Invitational Tournament. It will be a battle between Junior Lady Greyhounds as Salem faces Sloan-Hendrix at 5:10.
Elsewhere, Valley Springs hosts Green Forest.
On the high school level, the Viola boys will be in Swifton for their first game in the George Kell Classic. After a first round bye, the Longhorns will meet Pangburn in the quarterfinals at 6:40.
In other high school basketball, Cotter travels to Bakersfield, Norfork entertains Jasper, Flippin makes the trip to Lead Hill, and Melbourne’s boys are home against Paragould.
