The Salvation Army in Mountain Home has announced the winners of its annual bell ringing contest during the Red Kettle Campaign.
Each year, philanthropic groups throughout the Twin Lakes Area put together teams of volunteers to man a kettle location in the Twin Lakes Area, with the group raising the most money for a day being declared the winner.
Brian Brinley of The Salvation Army reveals the winner.
That total doesn’t sound impressive by itself, but a mystery donation in the kettle changed everything.
Brinley says that a pair of area businesses partner each year with The Salvation Army, helping to ensure the campaign’s success.
Second place in the contest went to Ranger Boats, which raised $1,203, and third place went to Twin Lakes Baptist Church with $995.
