
A pedestrian was injured, and his dog was killed early Friday evening when they were struck by a vehicle in Cotter. Sixty-four-year-old Dennis Rogers of Cotter was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center with what was described as a suspected minor injury.
According to a report from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle driven by 72-year-old Jerry Morrison of Gassville was traveling on Walnut Hill Lane. Morrison tells authorities he did not see the male pedestrian, identified as Rogers, walking his dog. Rogers was reportedly hit by the passenger side mirror, and his dog was run over.
Morrison’s vehicle had minor damage. Rain was falling, and the road was wet at the time of the 5:35 p.m. accident.
