MH basketball teams to play at Marion

High school basketball makes up the local Tuesday schedule, as Mountain Home will be back on the road. Conference action continues for the Bombers and Lady Bombers, as they play at Marion.
Mountain Home’s girls are tied for fifth in Class 5A in the latest Arkansas Sports Media rankings. The Lady Bombers are 13-3 on the season and 2-1 in the 5A-East after edging out Paragould on Friday. Marion is 8-10 and 1-2. The Lady Patriots most recently beat up on Searcy.
The Mountain Home boys have an overall record of 10-6 and a league mark of 1-2. The Bombers picked up their first conference win of the year four nights ago when they beat Paragould. Marion is 5-10 and 1-2. The Patriots lost at Searcy on Friday.
The junior varsity games tip off at 5 p.m. at Patriot Arena. The varsity contests begin around 6 and can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com.
Elsewhere in the 5A-East, Searcy hosts Greene County Tech, Jonesboro travels to West Memphis, and Nettleton makes the trip to Paragould.

Mountain Home Christian Academy will send its varsity and j.v. boys’ teams across the state line for their first games in the Mountain View-Liberty Invitational Tournament. Both games will be battles between Eagles, as both Mountain Home Christian teams will face the host school. The j.v. game starts at 4:30 followed by the varsity contest at 5:45.

In other high school basketball, Cotter entertains Yellville-Summit, Norfork is home against Mammoth Spring, Flippin heads to Fayetteville to meet Haas Hall Academy, Bruno-Pyatt hosts Omaha, Dora’s boys entertain Mountain Grove, Viola is home against Western Grove, Salem hosts Riverside for two boys’ games, Calico Rock travels to Brockwell to take on Izard County, Melbourne makes the trip to Monette to play Buffalo Island Central, St. Joe heads to Lead Hill, Marshall entertains Green Forest, Timbo travels to Guy-Perkins, Mountain View is home against Clinton, Rural Special hosts Greers Ferry West Side, Bergman makes the trip to Valley Springs, and Jasper entertains the New School.
