In junior high basketball Monday night, the Mountain Home Junior Lady Bombers lost at Nettleton 40-26. Cate Jackson led the scoring with 10 points, as they fall to 9-7 on the season.
Nettleton also won the eighth grade girls’ contest 28-9. The Eighth Grade Lady Bombers are now 5-5.

-Salem defeated Rural Special 45-30 to improve to 6-8.
-Mammoth Spring opened play in the Liberty Tournament with a 50-48 win over Eminence. Alex Mero paced the Bears with 20 points, and Cole Young added 15. Mammoth Spring improves to 14-9 on the season.
In girls’ action:
-Bakersfield lost to Ava 50-21.
-Mammoth Spring opened play in the Thayer Winter Classic with a 72-54 win over Willow Springs. Lauren Mitchell pumped in 26 points, Terra Godwin scored 16, and Shelby VanGivhoven netted 15, as the Lady Bears improve to 17-4.
