Winter weather expected to cause driving problems

Winter weather starting midday Wednesday in the Twin Lakes Area is expected to have impacts on travel and possibly power. A winter weather advisory is in effect for all of the listening area in northern Arkansas and southern Missouri.

Thomas Jones with the National Weather Service says the cold air is in place, and the arrival of a storm system moving in from Oklahoma Wednesday will bring a mixed bag of wintry precipitation.

The winter weather advisory for northern Arkansas runs until 6 Thursday morning. In southern Missouri, the advisory continues until noon Thursday.
