The Jasper High School teams had mixed results Wednesday, as they competed in the 1A-1 District Tournament at Kingston against the host school.
According to Rodney Beaver of the Harrison Daily Times, Caleb Carter rebounded his own shot and sank the game winner to put the Pirates over the Yellowjackets 69-67. Jasper’s boys improve to 22-20 on the season, and they’ll face the New School in the finals on Friday.
Jasper did not fare as well on the girls’ side, as they fell to Kingston 67-34. Jasper falls to 16-15 on the year, and its next game will be next Thursday in the Class 1A Region 1 Tournament at Alpena.
