Mountain Home High School Career Academies student Grace Beckham has been selected as a National Merit Scholarship finalist.
The senior is the daughter of Kevin Beckham and Cathy Beckham.
She was one of two from North Central Arkansas selected as a semifinalist in 2019 in the 65th annual National Merit Scholarship (NMS) Program.
Of the 15,000 named as finalists, 7,500 will be awarded scholarships in March.
Over 90 percent of semifinalists were expected to attain finalist standing, and about half of the finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship.
NMS Corporation is a not-for-profit organization operating without government assistance. It was established in 1955 specifically to conduct the annual National Merit Scholarship Program.
