The Marion County Airport in Flippin is among 13 across Arkansas sharing in $10.7 million in safety and infrastructure grants from the U.S. Department of Transportation.U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine L. Chao says the airport in Flippin will receive $171,500 to acquire land for aircraft approaches and for development.
Secretary Chao says this investment in Arkansas’ airports is part of a $520.5 million national investment in America’s airports.
She says, “This $520.5 million in federal support to airports across the country will help to keep our nation’s airports in good shape and make air travel a better experience for passengers.”
